The Flame of God

In my dream, I saw a vision of a burning torch in a white holder that was tilted to the right side as if someone was handing it off. The white holder represented purity and righteousness. The fire represented the flame of God and the tilt to the right was him handing the torch to me. I have said 'Yes' to God. I will rely heavily on the Holy Spirit's guidance because I can't do the finished works of Jesus Christ and God without Godly counsel through my ministry. God is a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:25-29, NKJV) and his word is hard to keep to myself. Like Jeremiah, it is like fire shut up in my bones (Jeremiah 20:9, NKJV). The immediate thoughts about a torch from the top of my head are:

  1. A torch is used as a light in darkness

  2. The flames of the torch symbolizes God

But after doing some research and reading, here are a few examples of how fire was represented in the word of God:

God’s Protection and Deliverance

1. Appeared to Abraham as a smoking fire pot and a flaming torch.

2. God appeared to Moses in the flame of fire in the midst of a bush.

3. The Lord rained down brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah. (Genesis 19:24-25, KJV)

Sacrifice to God

1. Abraham took the fire in his hand to sacrifice Isaac

God’s Protection and Deliverance

1. The Lord delivered Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from the Fiery Furnace (Daniel 3:16-28, KJV)

The Holy (Spirit) and Purification

1. Jesus will baptize with the Holy Spirit and fire.
